• The 18L Acorn shaped button is available with a cloth backing that is covered with your fabric. The fabric shank is covered by the fabric. When fabric is tightly woven, the fabric tends to pleat, rather than ease, when assembled- see example in last photo.

• Suitable fabrics

  • Light weight wools, silks, etc. that have body to them.

  • Light weight knits

  • Satin - however, not charmeuse unless fused with interfacing.

  • Fabrics that have a bit of give to both the warp and weft. If the fabrics don't have give, expect a slight fold in the fabrics to accommodate the curve of the button. See example of a "fold" inside the circle as indicated in third photo.

• Please be advised- many of our button parts are vintage stock. There may be slight imperfections in the backings but, in no way affect the function or look of the button.
